  • Emulex Network Interface Card that uses the be2net device driver, does not work after installation of Gaia / SecurePlatform OS on an Open Server.

  • Output of the 'ifconfig -a' command does not show the Emulex Network Interface Card that uses the be2net device driver.

  • The following lines appear during boot on the console and in the /var/log/dmesg file:
    be2net [PCI-ID]: Error in cmd completion - opcode 50, compl 1, extd 0
    ACPI: PCI interrupt for device [PCI-ID] disabled
    be2net [PCI-ID]: Emulex OneConnect 10Gbps NIC (be3) initialization failed

Emulex PXESelect Utility allows enabling of a firmware option (Advanced Mode Support) that is not compatible with the driver integrated into Check Point operating systems.

As a novice im hoping to gain a helping hand, Ive recently switched from windows server 2019 over to Centos 7 and the server has a 10gb Emulex OneConnect nic / card installed. When using windows i was able to see the nic under the normal network devices and assign a static ip which was separate to my main network so i could get 10gb traffic to.
